Family Engagement Program
The Family Engagement Program (FEP) was created to encourage parent and family involvement in Native youth lives as a protective factor against suicide and substance use. The FEP gives members in the community a chance to spend quality time together, along with other families in the community.
Events are hosted on both the Cattaraugus and Allegany territories, providing opportunities for families to spend time together and earn entries toward family-oriented prizes. Some of the prizes include trips to local museums, parks and sporting events. The Family Engagement events change monthly; some events we have hosted in the past include outdoor movie nights, cake decorating workshops, paint nights and invitations to a variety of guest speakers to come in and talk to families.
Those who are interested in registering a family in the Family Engagement Program can fill out a form here, at an FEP event or with a Native Connections team member.
- Your family must consist of at least one parent or guardian and one youth, age 24 or younger.
- The registered youth has to be eligible for services within the Seneca Nation Health System.
- Once registered, you can obtain an entry by attending a participating program event, as long as one parent or guardian and one youth from the registered family are in attendance.
- You may also receive extra entries by participating in Native Connections surveys/questionnaires when the opportunity is available.
